Today at 05:17:47 PM Guess Who: Out* Today at 05:11:21 PM Guess Who: Just love how someone has to point our brad in this convosation.classy! Today at 03:19:08 PM Guess Who: I guess I really" lit up the message board" to coin a phrase. One thing about our sport as I once read, the most expensive hobby for a retired man is to have a race car. The second most expense is not a hobby, but the cost of health care to keep yourself healthy enough to participate. I didn't want to emphasize the money aspects as much as it appears I did by the responses I got. I think the Elite 8 is just what it implies, the cream of the crop. I love the competition but when I look around in the pits there is a lot of tough competitors in the lanes and I know I'm not in the same caliber as most of them. I'm there to have some fun, make some friends, talk racing and be able to drive the hot rod back on the trailer at the end of the day. There certainly is nothing wrong with being loyal to a track or for that matter a sports team and I will always race Ware Shoals and support the track every chance I get. Tell me who else had their own Ware Shoals decals made up and put on their tow vehicle and work truck? I want to be proud of the track I race at. Suprisingly I get asked a lot about the track in my travels just because of that. Now I have made many suggestions to Rafe and company but for the most part it has fallen on deaf ears. As I tried to say earlier, it's his sand box and he's allowing us to play in it with our toys and I appreciate that. I only have so many recreation dollars set aside and I spend most of them on the car and at the track. For those of you who are working, don't stop "pulling the wagon" for us old guys! I know it's getting heavier every day.
