8 race summit super series event was an emotional night for the friends and family members of Billy "Billy Mac" McDowell 65 from Greenwood. Stephen Peeler led the race off with a memorial tribute showing nothing but respect for the McDowell family. He then went to work racing as hard as ever with high hopes of winning the race for his good friend Billy Mac.He worked his way down to the finals and squared off with first time winner Bernard Horton from the Williamston SC area.Bernard had been fighting gremlins all day and was just estatic making it to the finals. When all said and done Peeler loses on a double break out run.Stephen and his family still was pleased with the night and feel like 2014 will be his best year ever.In Footbrake Mike Johnson proved that the Benson Ford Sponsored, Mike Johnson Racing Engines, small block ford powered mustang could be a car to represent the W/S team as Champion come Bracket Finals. He met standout competitor Shawn Welch out of Hated Motorsports in the finals for a very close run.Mike Crawford backed last weeks win up with a 3rd place spot. These 3 guy's are ones to watch in footbrake.Jr's seen Christan Hansen line up beside Mickey Chandler in the finals for the win. These 2 kids were last years track points winner and summit series winner. They'll battle more this year.News from Scott Stewart is that after a 2 day stay in the hospital, and several shock treatments,Milton Agee has been reinstated to drive in 2 weeks at race (3).He wants to thank everyone and said Milton was looking forward to seeing everyone at the track..........For all your updates for W/S stay tuned to Fatrabbit Inc.

April 10, 2014, 10:02:00 AM Guess Who says: How about a purely charity event. No payouts. Just raise revenue for Billy's Family or for his favorite charity! Do it strickley for bragging rights. We did this back home once a month, usually for a family who had a kid with cancer. The track wrote the cost off at tax time, for use of the track. Along with helping someone in need, it enhanced the tracks reputation with the community. We charged 2 bucks for spectators and 10 for car & driver to T&T. Then had a 10 dollar, what we called "KIng of the Hill Race" for each class. We did it on a Sunday afternoon. That made sure we had no conflicts with other tracks. And we never had less than 100 cars. Think it could work? Just A Thought.
